Roof Inspection Requirements

Insurance companies often mandate inspections for roofs that are 15 years or older. These inspections aim to confirm that the roof has a remaining useful life of five years or more.

Upon inspection, we determine if there are any necessary repairs that must be completed before your roof can be certified. Repairing the roof is often a minimal cost in comparison to a complete roof replacement that would otherwise be needed to certify your roof.

Common roof repairs include:

• Replacing missing or damaged ridge caps and shingles
• Fixing bent or improperly installed ventilation
• Replacing cracked, worn or missing materials
• Sealing open areas and installing protective accessories to combat critter damage

Most roofs can be repaired to certify for another five years. However, there are some cases where repairs will not suffice, and a roof replacement is needed. Our team will walk you through the process and determine during the inspection if repair or replacement is needed.
